ANDRE DOBSON BIO

Coach Andre Dobson was born in Bremerton, Washington to Assemblies of God missionaries Dwight and Anita Dobson. Coach Dobson grew up in Calcutta, India and Cairo, Egypt. Dobson graduated high school from Bellingham High School in Bellingham, Washington and then attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri where he was a four year letterman for the Evangel Crusader football team as a running back. After college he taught and coached in the public school system for three years before being asked to return to Evangel University to be the first ever football graduate assistant. After receiving his Masters in Education, he has taught and coached in Christian private schools for the last 21 years in Washington, California, Florida, and Indiana. All together coach Dobson has 25 years of football coaching experience and 21 years of teaching experience. Coach Dobson has coached 104 All-Conference players, 12 All-State players, 8 District Players of the Year, and was named Florida Athletic Coaches Association 1A District 14 Coach of the Year in 2009, 2A District 11 Coach of the Year in 2016 & 2017, and SSAC Coastal Division Coach of the Year in 2016. Coach Dobson is a senior member on the American Football Coaches Association National High School Committee. Coach Dobson loves to travel and has led international student/coaching trips to Spain, Greece, Israel, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, Holland, Sri Lanka, and Portugal. He has led H.S. football team trips to Seattle, San Diego, San Antonio, and Austin. Coach Dobson is 48 years old and is married to Brianne (Bryant) Dobson. They have three children Mya (19) Trey (15) and Drew (7). Coach Dobson is currently the Head Football Coach at Greenwood Christian Academy in Greenwood, Indiana. www.GCAAthletics.org
